Design

ELIA Plc is an engineering organization, where all activities connected to the realization of energy projects start with the stages of design and development of technical documentation.

For the high quality realization of these stages, ELIA Plc has set up two specialized design units with a total of 20 designers, working in offices in Sofia, Dobrich and Varna:

• For preparation of technical design documentation on Electrical Equipment part – Performance of Contracts Unit.
• For elaboration of detailed design documentation – Management of Project Design Activity Department.

The team is staffed by 10 highly qualified designer engineers, members of the Bulgarian Chamber of Engineers in the Investment Design. They have full design capacity and experience, acquired from many projects in the largest industrial enterprises in Bulgaria. A team of young experts successfully applies the most modern software in their work – AutoCAD Electrical, ePLAN, Simaris Design, Simaris SIVACON etc.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

PRELIMINARY RESEARCH AND PREPARATION OF OFFERS

The specialized teams in ELIA Plc perform detail preliminary research and preparation of offers, together with dedicated consultation and support for our clients with the major task of completing a correct and exact business program. Based on the preliminary research the Clients’ requirements develop into investment projects.

DESIGN

We design different types of electrical installations for the energy infrastructure in the country and abroad, in industrial enterprises, office and hotel complexes and other on request by the client:

• Medium voltage switchgear.
• RETROFIT system.
• Medium and low voltage modular substations.
• Packaged transformer substations.
• Wind farms.
• Low voltage distribution switchboards.
• Type-tasted switchboards – type SIVACON.
• Systems for monitoring, control and management of power distribution networks and installations.
• Turnkey energy projects.
• Coordination of the completed design documentation in the responsible institutions, strictly observing all existing regulations in the Republic of Bulgaria and required European standards.

SUPERVISION

As well the project realization as its supervision during implementation are particularly important.

The structure of ELIA Plc permits the realization of each energy project on turnkey basis. This makes our technical documentation appropriate for implementation in our ELIA Electrical Equipment Plant in Dobrich and also in any other factory.

On request by the clients we manage the projects, carefully selecting contractors and subcontractors. We also provide technical supervision during the implementation.
